3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Right to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting our customer support. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period.
3.2 Monthly Subscriptions
- You can cancel anytime before the next billing date
- Cancellation must be submitted at least 24 hours before renewal
- You will retain access to services until the end of your current billing period
- No refund will be provided for the unused portion of the current billing period (see refund policy below)
- Auto-renewal will be disabled upon cancellation
3.3 Annual Subscriptions
- You can cancel within 7 days of purchase for a full refund (see Section 4.2)
- After 7 days, cancellation is effective at the end of the annual period
- Pro-rated refunds are not available for annual subscriptions after the 7-day window
- You retain access to services for the remainder of the paid annual period

4. Refund Policy
4.1 General Refund Terms
Refunds are processed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and our fair usage policy. All refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
4.2 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for all new subscriptions:
- Applies to first-time subscribers only
- Valid for 7 calendar days from the date of initial subscription
- Full refund of subscription fees (excluding GST and payment gateway charges)
- Refund request must be submitted within the 7-day period
- Account access will be terminated upon refund processing
Example: If you subscribe on January 1st, you have until January 7th (11:59 PM IST) to request a full refund under the money-back guarantee.
4.3 Refunds After 7-Day Period
After the 7-day money-back guarantee period:
- Monthly Subscriptions: No refunds for partial month usage. Services remain active until the end of the billing period.
- Annual Subscriptions: No pro-rated refunds after 7 days. Services remain active for the full paid period.
4.4 Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds may be considered outside the standard policy in the following circumstances:
- Technical Issues: Platform unavailability for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault
- Service Failure: Core features completely non-functional and unresolved within reasonable time
- Billing Errors: Incorrect charges or duplicate payments
- Account Security: Unauthorized charges due to platform security breach (verified cases only)
Such cases will be reviewed individually. Documentation and evidence may be required.
4.5 Non-Refundable Items
The following are NOT eligible for refunds:
- Marketplace transaction fees and commissions
- Setup or onboarding fees (if applicable)
- Custom development or integration costs
- Training and consultation services already delivered
- Third-party service charges (payment gateway fees, SMS charges, etc.)
- Add-on features or services purchased separately
- Subscriptions cancelled after the 7-day guarantee period
4.6 Refund for Service Downgrade
If you downgrade your subscription:
- The downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle
- No refund is provided for the difference in plan costs
- You retain access to higher-tier features until downgrade takes effect

- Refunds are processed to the original payment method used for subscription
- Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days for credit to appear
- UPI/Net Banking: 3-7 business days
- Wallet (Paytm, PhonePe, etc.): 2-5 business days
- If the original payment method is no longer valid, alternative arrangements will be made (bank transfer)
5.4 GST and Tax Refund
For approved refunds:
- The subscription amount will be refunded in full
- GST paid will be adjusted as per GST regulations and refunded where applicable
- A credit note will be issued for tax compliance purposes
6. Marketplace Transaction Refunds
6.1 Legal Services Payments
Payments made for legal services through the marketplace are subject to separate terms:
- Refunds for legal services are handled directly between clients and legal professionals
- The legalLobby acts only as a facilitator and does not guarantee service quality or outcomes
- Disputes should be resolved directly with the service provider
- Our dispute resolution mechanism can be invoked for mediation (non-binding)
6.2 Marketplace Transaction Disputes
In case of payment disputes related to marketplace transactions:
- Contact the legal professional directly within 7 days of service delivery/payment
- If unresolved, submit a dispute through the platform's dispute resolution center
- Provide all relevant documentation and communication records
- Our team will mediate (resolution is at the discretion of both parties)
- Platform transaction fees are non-refundable even if service refunds are issued
7. Account Termination by Company
7.1 Violation of Terms
If your account is terminated by us due to violation of Terms and Conditions:
- No refund will be provided for the remaining subscription period
- All marketplace transactions will be settled as per existing agreements
- You will lose access to all platform features and data immediately
7.2 Service Discontinuation
If we discontinue the service entirely:
- Minimum 90 days advance notice will be provided
- Pro-rated refund for the unused portion of annual subscriptions
- Assistance with data export and migration
8. Free Trials and Promotional Offers
8.1 Free Trial Period
- Free trials can be cancelled anytime during the trial period
- No charges apply if cancelled before trial expiration
- After trial expiration, standard subscription charges apply
- Only one free trial per user/organization
8.2 Promotional Discounts
- Promotional pricing is valid for the specified period only
- Refunds on promotional subscriptions follow the same policy
- Refund amount is based on the discounted price paid, not regular price
- Promotional codes cannot be combined with refund requests
9. Data Retention After Cancellation

- You can access and export your data until the end of your billing period
- After cancellation, you have 30 days to export data before deletion

- Personal data is deleted 90 days after subscription termination (unless required by law)
